      При установке репака и распаковке как Portable, будет ли всё помещенно именно в папку распаковки, или все-таки что-то будет еще и в других местах.
      При дозагрузке программой модулей будут ли они все помещены именно в папку распаковки ропака или все-таки что-то будет еще и в других местах.

         Cодержимое папки models будет скопировано в папку .\Data\Common\models, если такая папка будет находиться рядом с репаком при распаковке portable (ровно как и заявлено в описании). Новые модели портативной версии, загружаются в эту же папку. Для обновления уже имеющейся порташки репаком, просто расположить рядом и запустить. Программа будет обновлена, а модели и настройки останутся.

      Thank you very much for making this possible. Upon downloading, I get "Model download error" popup that says "We could not verify one or more models. Please contact support and share this error log." I also try "Retry" and same issue reoccurs.

         Perform the model dowloading procedure several times before the download of all models (the tests required 5-6 repetitions).

      Am running Windows 11. Also this was for Topaz Gigapixel AI 8.2.3 .exe (252 MB) with UAC enabled installation (first time installation, no reinstalls). The two Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 distributions I have is Redistributable (x64) - 14.42.34433 and Redistributable (x86) - 14.40.33810. I hope you can fix this issue.
      
      Also, thank you for the great work. I do not know how much praise is given, but this work of yours is truly amazing. All the repacks are reduced in file size compared to the real thing, and more importantly, activation/licensing is worked around and it works great. I personally use Topaz to enhance brain MRI scans to enhance the fine anatomical details (e.g., small lesions, microvascular structures, subtle tissue abnormalities) and it has very much helped in my work as a student with diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and tumor detection. Thank you very much for making this possible.

         It may take several repetitions of downloading models before a full download is performed (usually 5-6).

      ihi thanks for run this site and sharing your effort.
      i have downloaded Topaz Gigapixel AI 8.2.2 on fpayout
      and unzipped it and ran 'unpack portable. cmd' "and" silent install.cmd"
      after that, when i click ' Topaz Gigapixel AI 8.2.2.exe'
      it leads me to installing page. and while installing it
      an error accurs
      "the exisisting file is marked as read-only.
      click retry to remove the read only attribute and try again, ignore to skip this file , or abort to cancel installation"
      
      bur it only it only shows files directory in cropped proportion
      C:\Users\USER\Downloads\topaz_gigapixel_ai_8.2.2\TopazGigapixelAI
      since the setup window is small
      so i can't figure aout which file is it.
      
      i uninstall everything and re installed it several times but same error occured.
      
      and if i click 'retry' on the error menu, i can run gigapixel app.
      but when it download it's model
      it keeps failed to model downloading
      
      should i choose between 'unpack portable. cmd' " or " silent install.cmd" ?
      or are there any more process i have to do before i run the program?

         You've written a lot and helped me find an unpleasant mistake. But you didn't write that you are doing a re-installation on top and it's not the first installation.
         
         If I'm right and this is an installation over the previous version, then first remove the Topaz.lic file in the folder with models or remove the “read only” aribut from it.
         
         The repack will be remade and reuploaded some later.
         
         p.s. did an additional test...
         repack informs which file (mentioned earlier) cannot overwrite and there is an option to skip this file... if the file is skipped the repack will work correctly

      v8.2.3 portable can not be activated because clicking on the Activate button doesn't work ... nothing happens. Do you not beta test your releases anymore? If not, why not? What good does it do you to release faulty software???

            I don't update portable versions ... does anyone do that??? As always, most of us who have been around more than five seconds remove the new "models" folder and replace it with a copy of the previous one. If that is what is causing the problem, then perhaps you should have posted this information somewhere here!

               So you hammer nails with a TV. Of course the TV's gonna break. Then blame the TV manufacturer for the problem? It's a great plan.
               
               If you are using elements of the previous version in the new version then you are upgrading (I meant the model folder).
               
               And there is a definite mechanism for updating a repack. You violated this mechanism and got problems with registration.

                  Simply replacing the models folder with the previous version has worked perfectly for at least the last 10 versions. And, I'm talking your portable versions! So, starting with v8.2.3 it doesn't work for this repack?
                  
                  By the way, your commentary and so-called comparison sucks and makess little to no sense based on past history!

                     Your stupid stubbornness is getting annoying.
                     What difference does it make how it was before, if it's different now.
                     You used the repack incorrectly when you replaced the new models folder with the old one (while this folder is now a registration element). After that, you started making unfounded claims against the repack and the repacker.
                     You should have written the new models folder over the old one if you wanted to keep the previously downloaded models.
                     If you were pointed out a stupid mistake, you should accept it and admit it.

      Version 8.1.x no longer work. They sart up once and never again.

       v8.1.2 standard installation. Tried 2-3 times but still getting the same error while trying to download models. I don't think it's my internet because I'm getting about 20-30 MB/s while downloading. I'm installing topaz for the first time so I don't have any previous models to copy. Any help is appreciated.

          Update: As mentioned by LR.Support under Topaz Photo AI comments, the error lines kept reducing on each restart/redownload and now it's working properly.
